The McClain County Sheriff is ordered by the courts to sell foreclosed properties.

The Sheriff Sales are held in the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, Room 121, 10:00AM on Tuesdays. The properties are not sold in any particular order.

The foreclosed property sale list is updated on Friday afternoon.

Recalls must be filed with the Sheriff’s Office before the start of the sale to prevent the sale of a property.

The sales of foreclosed properties are open auctions and anyone can bid. Starting bids cannot be less than two-thirds of the appraised value. Bids must be in increments of $100.00 or more.

The successful bidder must have a money order, personal check or cashiers check payable to the McClain County Clerk for 10% of the bid price in the Court Clerks Office by 10:00AM the following day.

The remaining 90% is due upon confirmation of the sale (approximately 2-3 weeks after the date of sale) and the Sheriff has signed the Sheriff’s Deed.

Foreclosed property may be occupied, for information about the property you may contact the plaintiff’s attorney listed on the foreclosed property sale list. Attorney’s information can be obtained though the McClain County Court Clerk’s Office at 405-527-3221.
